The Nebraska football team lost a 40-16 home game to No. 23-ranked Iowa in Memorial Stadium last month to end the 2025 regular season. After the loss the Huskers dropped to 7-5 overall and 4-5 in the Big 10. Nebraska will play Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 31, 2025.

Iowa Western Community College football Coach Scott Strohmeier holds the NJCAA Division I national championship trophy after his Reivers beat Hutchinson Community College 28-10 (to win their fourth natty) on Wednesday night. Lincoln North Star’s William Schafer drives to the hoop during the No. 1-ranked Navigators 57-52 road win at No. 2-ranked Millard North on Tuesday night.
